The Tigers finished the regular season with a record of 10-22. This ties the most wins in a season since 1997. They are looking to win their first regional match since 1996, the last year the Tigers won before moving to the Mid-West region. The Tigers are nearing several season records, including blocks in a season and serving aces. The team could end up second all time in digs as well as serving %.
“With only one senior and the rest freshman and sophomores, if the players will make a commitment to off season training and next year, we could well be on our way to recapturing Volleyball tradition established many years ago by our alumni.” Coach Spooner pointed out the significance of one alumni in particular. “Coach Keizer has been the team’s MVP, not only having to deal with me but her knowledge and earned respect by the team has given her unique ways to contribute to this years success. I am most grateful to her and hope she’ll continue with the program in years to come.”
