The Grace Tigers fell to Crowley’s Ridge their first match in Springfield, MO in 3 sets; 12-25, 13-25, 19-25. Grace started out strong in each set, but a string of errors during key possessions caused them to fall behind each set. The Tigers struggled with their serve receive passing up until the 3rd set which made it difficult for them to get a good set and a good attack.
Naomi Kemper led the offense with 7 kills, Nichole Galbicsek chipped in 5 kills. Aubree Domsic and April Lorenz dished out 8 assists a piece. Aubree Domsic also added 10 digs for the match.
The Tigers started out slow in the first set against Central Bible. They found themselves stuck in a rotation where Central Bible scored 8 points in a row. After that rotation the Tigers were in too big of hole to come back. They lost the first set 15-25. After losing the first match the Tigers came together as a team and won the next 3 sets; 25-17, 25-21, 25-20.
Naomi Kemper and Nichole Galbicsek led the Tigers in kills with 18 and 15. Aubree Domsic dished out 28 assists to help our offense. Nichole Galbicsek led our defense with 18 digs, Naomi Kemper added 17 and April Lorenz had 16. Gabrielle Blickley served up 5 aces.
