The Tigers struggled all match with their blocking and their defense, which ultimately caused them the match against Moody Bible. The Tigers fell in 3 sets; 10-25, 15-25, 10-25. The Tigers haven’t played a team yet this season that was effective running quick sets with their middle hitters, Moody did a great job of running fast sets out of the middle and it was too much for the Tigers to handle.
“We really struggled defensively with our blocking this match, which allowed for Moody to get a lot of kills especially out of the middle position. One thing that we did really well was attacking; we continued to be aggressive with our hitting even if we weren’t getting a great set. We were keeping a lot of balls alive offensively.” – Head Coach Marcie Masselink
Naomi Kemper led the Tigers in attacking with 5 kills and Aubree Domsic added in 4 kills. Aubree also led in assists with 9 and aces with 3. Naomi Kemper added 9 digs on the defensive end and Nichole Galbicsek chipped in 7 digs for our defense.
