Director of Sports Operations, Gary Bailey, is pleased to announce the hiring of Steve Vissia as the new Women’s Soccer Coach.
Steve is a graduate of Spring Arbor University and holds a BS in Social Studies and a Masters of Arts in Education. As a player at SAU, he served as captain in 1997 and was a four time letter winner.

Coached the varsity girls team at Fremont HS for 14 seasons
Coached the varsity boys team at Fremont HS for 12 seasons
District Champions – 2001, 2005, 2006, 2007, and 2009
Regional Champions – 2007 and 2009
Reached State Semi-Finals 2007 and 2009
District Coach of the Year – 1999, 2001, 2005, 2006, 2007, and 2009
Western Waterways Activities Conference Soccer Coach of the Year- 2006
Muskegon Chronicle Soccer Coach of the Year- 2005 and 2006
Regional Coach of the Year – 2007 and 2009
State of Michigan Public School Coach of the Year- 2007
Steve currently teaches Social Studies at Fremont High School. Steve is married to wife Heidi and has four children, Grant (8), John (5), Caleb (3), and Esther (1).
