In the first game for the Lady Tigers soccer team at GBC, the women’s team fell to Maranatha Baptist Bible College 7-0. Behind 2-0 at the half, Tabitha McIntosh managed to test the Crusaders keeper in the second half but could not get the ball into the net. Kerie Rudd was in goal for Grace and played a great game with two dozen saves, many of which were spectacular.
Though the Tigers did not get the win, the team started their first season on a positive manner. Coach Summerfield was pleased with the girls’ attitude and hard work tonight. “If we continue to make strides like we have the last couple of weeks, the Ladies’ soccer program at Grace will be in good shape,” said Summerfield.
