Soccer Spotlight

Jenn Haveman, a sophomore forward and midfielder, is the focus of the Soccer Spotlight.  Jenn said this about her plans:  I changed my major to education and I plan to continue working full time this summer at a group home for special needs women.  Jenn also gave answers to the following three questions.

Question #1:  What drew you to Grace Bible College and the soccer team?
The great girls on the soccer team is what drew me to it. I wanted to get to know more girls at Grace and I love to play soccer so I decided to play!

Question #2:  What was the most meaningful aspect of being part of the women’s soccer team?
The most meaningful aspect of soccer at GBC was that the team and the people on the team were very Christ based. When I played soccer at my public school there was never anything mentioned about Christ or God or the Bible. That is what makes Grace soccer so special to me.

Question #3:  What is your favorite memory/thing from the first season of Grace women’s soccer?
The thing I will remember most from this past soccer season is the long car rides and the time we apprehended a criminal. The long car rides were really nice to get to know the other girls on the team. It was a great bonding time and made us more like a family.

Thank you Jenn for your contribution to the Soccer Spotlight, and for your hard work on the soccer team.
