Grace goalkeeper Kerie Rudd had another great game in goal for the womens’ soccer team. Rudd tallied 14 saves against Northland International University, receiving post-game kudos from the visiting side. Nevertheless Grace, unable to keep a clean sheet, was outscored 3-0. The Grace team played well for much of the first half, nearly scoring on a try by Tabitha McIntosh. Playing it’s second game in as many days with key players out due to injury, the Lady Tigers tired and were down 0-2 at half. Tina Mattias recorded a shot-on-goal in the second half and Danae Benton made an excellent attempt after a long run, narrowly missing goal. Grace continued to show improved play and effort until the end of the match. Supreme character continues to be displayed by the Grace team members, they are succeeding in ways that do not show up on the scoreboard. Next Saturday Grace travels to Circleville, Ohio for a rematch with Ohio Christian University.
