Grace Bible College is pleased to announce Erich Heger as the new Tigers’ goalkeeping coach. Coach Vissia commented, “We are thrilled to have Coach Heger join the staff. He has an outstanding understanding of the game, is dedicated to developing players, and is always striving for excellence. Coach Heger is passionate about the game but more importantly passionate about building relationships with those around him. We are blessed to have a coach of his caliber working with the team this fall.”
Coach Erich Heger comes to Grace soccer with 7 years of Division II High School coaching experience as a goalkeeping coach. He has coached both boys and girls at Fremont High School. Under his direction his keepers have achieved All-State honorable mention recognition and multiple All-District and All-Conference honors. He has also provided personal training for individuals and currently coaches his daughter’s team at the club level. He has obtained his E-license and will be attending the state’s new Goalkeeping Certification Course in July 2011. Erich and his wife Teresa have been married for 13 years and have 2 daughters, Stephanie (11) and Anna (10). He works as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist at Spectrum Health Gerber Memorial Hospital in Fremont, MI.
“My goal is to bring my coaching experience and passion for soccer to Grace Bible College and to help build the program. I view the goalkeeper as a pivotal position and anchor of the defense”, Coach Heger.
