Christine Michael recently committed to GBC and signed her letter of intent to play soccer for the Tigers. Christine has played on the varsity soccer team at Providence Christian in Fremont for the past three season and has been a perennial starter for the Storm. She has never missed a match and more impressively has not missed a single minute in her three years of playing. Christine enjoys playing many different sports and will also be joining the Lady Tiger basketball team. Christine’s other hobbies include riding horses, going to the beach, shopping, and hanging out with her friends.
Christine is the daughter of Art and Lori Michael and is the youngest of five children. She has two older sisters, Brenda and Amanda and two older brothers, Eric and Brian.
When asked about playing at GBC, Christine responded, “I didn’t ever imagine that I would get this opportunity to play soccer for Grace. I’m so excited to meet my future teammates and grow more as a player under Coach Vissia. I’m also excited to see my faith grow further in God while at Grace.”
“Christine is a player who already has the tools to be successful at the collegiate level,”
stated Coach Vissia. “She has explosive speed with a knack of putting herself in situations where she will be successful. She is a player who doesn’t shy away from physical play and uses her body very well in tight spaces. We are truly looking forward to having Christine in a Tiger uniform this fall. We believe that she is yet another piece to the growing and developing program at Grace.”
