Proskey Earns First Career Clean Sheet As Tigers Defeat GLCC

The Tigers traveled to Lansing, Michigan to take on Great Lakes Christian College tonight.  Grace came home with the much deserved 2-0 victory, recording ten shots and nine corners to GLCC’s three shots and one corner.  Captain Josh Armstrong lead the way scoring on a penalty kick and adding an assist helping set up Freshman Nathan Colby for his first career goal after he beat the GLCC defender and then slotted it past the keeper.  The defense played well helping Freshman Jon Proskey record his first ever clean sheet.  The Tigers created several chances, with Alex Stoddard coming close on a couple of occasions as well as Asu who came close but unlucky not to have scored.  “I am happy with the result, keeping the clean sheet is important.  I would have liked us to have finished better and that is one thing we are working on.  We did some good things today but have a lot to work on and continue to get better and have been which is important as the season goes on”, said Coach Buchanan.  The Tigers now stand 2-2 overall and will host Robert Morris Springfield this Friday.
