Jonah Stacy the son of Karen and Mark Stacy from Grand Rapids, Michigan will be playing for Grace this fall. Jonah, a former four year varsity letter winner at Forrest Hills Central High School as well as MHSAA State Champion will look to give the Tigers an offensive surge. During his four years at Forrest Hills Central he tallied over 40 goals, and 50 assist, earning him state recognition. As a sophomore he was named All-Conference and All-District. Again as a junior and senior he was named to All-Conference, All-District, All-Region as well All-State selection in Division 1 in both years. He was a member of the 2008 GRASA State Champions, and played for other club teams including Grand Valley Premier, Kalamazoo Kingdom, West Michigan Rovers, West Michigan Edge U-20s. Jonah played one season for Cornerstone University during the 2008/2009 season where he started as a Freshman, and was total points leader. “We are absolutely thrilled to have Jonah. His exceptional soccer accomplishments speak for themselves. He is a talented player with loads of experience which will be invaluable to this squad. I have enjoyed getting to know Jonah and I am very excited to add a player not only of his quality but of his personal character and attitude. He is a complete player and it is awesome to see where his head is at and his desire to serve God. He is a great addition to this team”, commented Coach Buchanan.
