Grace and Great Lakes Christian College squared off for the second time in three days
today in front of a large crowd at Velting Field and Grace once again came out the victor. The Tigers pounced on GLCC early, when junior Drake Olsen found Josh Armstrong on a pass which Armstrong then put on a display beating the GLCC defender and keeper to score the games first goal. Olsen would turn from provider to finisher as he put away a pass from freshman Aaron Weinss. “Drake was fantastic tonight. He has been showing a lot in training, working hard and making intelligent runs and that was the difference for us in the first half,” commented Coach Buchanan. The Tigers took the 2-0 lead into halftime. Great Lakes countered off of a corner and narrowed the deficit. Freshman Vasilij Kuiper would cap the scoring for Grace. The final score was 3-2.
