Grace went into tonight’s game knowing they would be up against a very solid team. The Tiger’s came into the game up to the challenge. Through the first half Grace defended well making it difficult for Hope and went into half-time down by the score of 0-1. The Tiger’s came out in the second half and conceded a goal just after the whistle. As Grace continued to battle on, Hope continued to capitalize on their opportunities. “We understood what quality Hope College always has and it would be a good test in a number of areas. I was very pleased with the first half and even in the second although we conceded more than I would have liked, but you have to give credit to them. Chris Thompson did a very good job of controlling the defense and even with us giving up six goals there was a lot of positives out there. Asumani Iyakaremye also played very well tonight. I credit the guys with keeping a fantastic attitude and giving maximum effort tonight. This was a loss that I think will make this team stronger and we can all see the positives in the game tonight,” commented Coach Buchanan. Although Grace created a few chances they were not able to capitalize on them and lost by the score of 0-6. Grace will play next at home on Saturday against Lincoln Christian University at 2:00 pm on Velting Field.
