Grace started the game off strong, giving themselves a 2-0 lead with goals from Vasilij Kuiper, assisted by Aaron Weinss, and Brady Zomer. The Tigers would take the 2-0 lead into halftime. Things changed shortly into the second half when a Kuyper forward broke through the Grace defense and put one past keeper Drew Smith. Grace would jump back to a two goal lead as Brady Zomer once again found the net off of a corner sent in by Aaron Weinss. With a 3-1 lead Grace looked to increase the score line but it would be Kuyper who continued to narrow the score line once again, making it 3-2 which was the final score. “We were not at our best to day and a lot of credit goes to Kuyper for that. They wanted this game it was evident. In the end we earned the victory which was not the greatest performance and we have to be better”, said Coach Buchanan. For the next game, Grace will take on Maranatha Baptist Bible College in Watertown, Wisconsin this Saturday.
