It’s getting to that time of year where students are turning their thoughts to where they will be going to college. Many have questions and are trying to find answers. As a coach I love to talk to potential runners/students and help them find the information they need. When searching for the right college there are some important things to consider, and you must prioritize for yourself what are the most important issues.
Questions to ask yourself:
Should I go to a Christian or a public college?
Should I go to a large, medium or small college?
How am I going to pay for college?
What am I interested in studying at college? What do I want to do after college?
What extra-curricular activities are important to me? Do I want to be able to participate in sports in college?
Do I want to go to a local college, or move to another area of the country?
As you ask yourself these questions, think of the pros and cons for each one. Write down your ideas and explore your options. Ask other people what they think about these things.
As the cross-country coach at Grace Bible College, I want to help you find your place, and fell confident that Grace has so many great opportunities that helping you ask these questions will point you in the right direction.
