After a month off, the Lady Tigers came roaring out of the break with a 74-50 win over Central Christian College in Moberly, Missouri. The Tigers hit 7-10 from behind the arc for the game and 70% from the floor in the first half to secure the win.
“I was a little concerned about the long lay-off,” said Head Coach Rich Renzema. “You never know how you are going to come out and play after 30 days without a game. It was great to have two of our injured players from the first half back in uniform tonight. I was really pleased with the way we played and I am optimistic about the second half of the season.” The Tigers now stand at 6-9 on the season after starting out 0-7.
Freshman Alex Rios led Grace with 22 points. Two time All-American Jessica Sikorski had 16 points, 12 rebounds, and 7 assists. Freshman Shelby Jamieson scored 9 points to go along with 6 rebounds and 6 assists. Also scoring in double figures with 12 was Keri Rudd in her first game back from injury. Freshman Jessica Ryan dished out 6 assists.
The Tigers will play Calvary Bible College at 2:00pm today in Moberly, Missouri.
