The Lady Tigers started the game looking like they could stay with Rochester through the first fifteen minutes. Rochester had beaten GBC by thirty earlier in the year. With the game tied 15-15 midway through the first half GBC gave up four straight threes and then could get no closer for the rest of the game. Down 38-22 at the half, the Tigers made a valiant effort in the second half, holding the high scoring team from Rochester to only 27 second half points.
Whitney Sorelle led Grace with 17 points and 11 rebounds. Jessica Sikorski chipped in 11 points and 6 boards. Heidi Salmon added 8 points. Rochester outshot Grace 37.9% to 32.4%. The Tigers shot an impressive 20-26 from the line with Sorelle connecting on 11 of 13. The Tigers committed 32 turnovers for the game.
The Tigers square off against Indiana University Northwest at 1:00pm on Saturday, February 13th.
