When I woke up Thursday morning, it was 15 degrees out and 5 below windchill. It was frezzing and I could not wait to get out of Michigan; however, the idea of flying in a plane scared me to death. I thought about it all day and I was freaking out but my teammates and coach assured me everything would be okay. Arriving at the airport was when I realized that I was really going to have to do this. I got really nervous as we were going through security especially when Amanda, who was in front of me, got pulled off to the side and put in a box, where she had to get patted down. Once they realized she was not a terroist they let her go As we waited for the plane to arrive most of us just sat around and did homework. Sitting and waiting, did not help my nerves. Finally at 5:20 we boarded the plane, we were the last people on so none of us could sit next to each other. I was really upset about this but I got to sit next to two guys who talked me through the flight. They were really nice and they even gave me the window seat, which was awesome. Seeing the lights from the city and the clouds was amazing, overall the flight was a great experience, except for all the turbulance. Once we landed we got our bags and as we walked out side the warm air felt so nice. It was great to be outside and not be shivering. As we arrived at the hotel, the first thing we saw was the huge outdoor heated pool with an amazing hot tub surrounded by palm trees and cactus. Then we got to our suites and we were all so excited. The suites were ridiculously awesome, Amanda and I had the honeymoon room with a jacuzzi in our bathroom. In the other half of the suite was another bedroom with Heidi, Stephanie, Kerie and Whitney. The two rooms were connected by a living room, dining room and kitchen. To end our day we went swimming outside, ate some pizza and then got some much needed sleep. We are all really excited for our game tonight and for our trip to the zoo.
