Marissa Pelletier a 5’9″ forward from Calvin Christian High School has signed with the Tigers for the upcoming season. She is a four year player for Calvin Christian. “We are so happy to have an athlete of Marissa’s level coming to Grace next year,” said Coach Rich Renzema. “Not only did she run track and cross country in high school but she also played soccer and volleyball. She will give us some added strength around the basket.”
Marissa is not sure of her major but is considering something in the mission field, or in culinary arts. She has a twin sister Katie. She enjoys camping, going to the beach, sledding, eating and running.
Marissa on signing with Grace, “I am very excited that I have the opportunity to play at Grace. I had a great experience in high school with Coach Rhodes, Coach Kamstra, and the girls on the team. I am looking forward to this next challenge.”
The Tigers and Lady Tigers now have three Calvin Christian graduates on the team and will move their February 4th game against Indiana University Northwest (NAIA II) to Calvin Christian’s fieldhouse for a charity game. The money raised will go to Calvin Christian’s athletic fund.
