Zach Schutte, a senior at Calvin Christian High School has signed to play at Grace. Schutte, a 6’4″ guard/forward will wear number 42 for the Tigers next season. “We are very happy to have Zach as a Tiger for next year”, said Head Coach Gary Bailey. “Zach will fit into Grace very well next year. He is an excellant student and a very hard worker on the court. Zach has a great shot all the way out to the three and is very crafty around the basket. He jumps very well and he will help us fill the void left at the three spot.”
This season Schutte averaged 15 points per game to go along with 6.5 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1.5 blocks per game. He was an All Conference, All Area and All State selection. He was also selected as the Burger King Athlete of the Week. He helped lead his team to the State quarter finals, losing in double overtime.
Zach is the son of Rod and Kim Schutte and he has two brothers Aaron and Caleb and two sisters Ashley and Brianna. Zach will be an Education major and hopes to coach someday.
