The Tigers hit on all cylinders today as they defeated Purdue University North Central 93-51. “We were ready to play after last nights defeat” said Head Coach Gary Bailey. “We played a horrible first half on friday against Hope and wanted to get a good start tonight.” The Tigers held a 53-15 lead at the half with all 13 players seeing action. The second half was more of the same as Grace kept fresh bodies on the floor the entire second half. Paul Nelson was named to the all tournament team as he led all scorers with 23 points. Allen Durham hit for 18, Brandon Herlein 16, and Cory Jamieson 10. Ryan Krombeen led Grace with 7 rebounds.
The Tigers shot 59% from the floor for the game compared to 39% for Purdue NC. Grace held an edge in rebounds 33-29.
Grace will get a much deserved rest after playing five games in the last eight days. The Tigers will travel to Cornerstone to take on the Golden Eagles on Saturday, December 20th at 3:00pm.
Grace (9-5), is currently ranked #2 in the nation in the NCCAA II.
