Dan Dame led Grace Bible with 14 points in a 97-53 win over Emmaus in the opening round of the NCCAA II Midwest Regional. All fifteen players scored for Grace with only Zach Schutte (10 points) and Dame hitting double figures. “It was great to get everyone in and see them all score tonight,” said Coach Gary Bailey. “It was really nice to be able to rest some guys tonight. Playing three days in a row is tough so it was important to stay rested.” Only Dan Dame played over twenty minutes for GBC. The Tigers starting five played 10-12 minutes in the first half and did not play in the second half as the Tigers bench showed their strength erupting for 70 of the 97 points. Zach Schutte led Grace with 6 rebounds and Dauntrell Hill dished out 6 assists.
Game comparisons were: rebounds – GBC 44 – Emmaus 26, assists – Grace 30 – Emmaus 13, turnovers – Grace 10 – Emmaus 29, steals – Grace 15 – Emmaus 6.
The Tigers shot 44/74 from the floor for 59.5% while Emmaus hit 20/53 for 37.5%.
The Tigers will play Northland International University at 7:00pm CST in the NCCAA II Midwest semi-final.
