TIGERS WIN 10TH IN A ROW

The Tigers won for the 10th straight time thursday night with an 85-71 win over NAIA II University of Michigan Dearborn. The win moved Grace to 21-8 on the season, tying the school record for most wins in a season. Allen Durham led all scores with 28 points and 16 rebounds. Ryan Krombeen and Matt Kurtz added 16 each. Dan Dame pulled down 6 rebounds for Grace off the bench. The Tigers played again without starting point guard Cory Jamieson who is recovering from an ankle injury. Grace held a 40-39 rebound advantage but it was the 24-28 free throw shooting for the Tigers that impressed Coach Gary Bailey. “We have struggled from the line all year and probably have three or four losses that we wouldn’t have had if we were better at the line. Tonight we shot very well. We have put in a little more time in practice this week and it seems to have paid off.” GBC shot 46% from the floor compared to 42% for UMD.

Grace will play next Tuesday at home against cross-town rival Kuyper College in a Midwest Regional matchup.
