Grand Rapids, MI – The Tigers won their second game in a row as they knocked off NCAA III Finlandia University 80-55. Thirteen players found the scoring column for the Tigers as every player played double digit minutes in the win. The Tigers were led in scoring by Zach Schutte’s 16 points. Cameron Cramer added 10 points with two fast break dunks. GBC won the battle of the boards with a 56-32 advantage. The Tigers shot 44.6% from the floor while holding the Lions to 32%. The Lions shot 4-34 from the three for 6% while Grace was 4-15 for 27%.
“I was really happy with the amount of minutes that our guys were able to get tonight,” said Coach Bailey. “Everyone played double digit minutes and played well tonight. We had 28 assists compared to their 10. The guys are starting to get it and learn how to take all this talent and play together. We are going to need to really put it together for Ferris State tomorrow night.”
Grace’s bench outscored Finlandia’s bench 36-16.
The Tigers will travel to Big Rapids tomorrow night to take on Ferris State University (NCAA II). Ferris is ranked #10 in the Midwest Region in the NCAA D-II.
