The Tigers fell behind early and never regained their composure against Calvin College falling 82-49. Grace, down 16 at the half, was outscored in the second half by 17. “I don’t want to take anything away from Calvin College” said Coach Gary Bailey, “they played well and deserved the win, but that is our poorest effort this year. We didn’t do anything well tonight, even our attitudes were questionable. We were not ready to play. That won’t happen again!”
GBC was led by Paul Nelson with 18 points and Allen Durham’s 12 points and 8 rebounds. Cory Jamieson and Ryan Krombeen led Grace with 4 assists apiece. The Tigers shot a miserable 39% from the floor, 26%from the arc, and 30% from the line and committed 30 turnovers.
The Tigers will take on NCAA III Baldwin-Wallace at 1:00pm tomorrow.
