The Tigers basketball team spent most of the day Friday in airport terminals and many hours in a plane to get to their next two games……but no one is complaining because they are playing in Hawaii this week. The Tigers will face off against Hawaii Pacific University and Hilo University, both NCAA II teams.
All of the Tiger’s hard work in the squash fields this summer and fall finally paid off as they arrived late but woke up to sunshine and the sound of waves crashing on the shore. The team did fund raising this year to help offset the cost of the trip. “It was worth all of the work to see the guys enjoying themselves here in Honolulu on Waikiki Beach,” said Coach Bailey. “Besides getting to play two games against two very good teams, we will go to Pearl Harbor on Monday and then head to the North Shore to watch some professional surfers go up against 30-40 foot waves. The guys will also have plenty of free time to relax after taking all their finals this past week.”
This site will be updated with pictures of the trip and scores and comments from the games.
