This past Sunday, Coach Gary Bailey, Allen Durham and Ryan Krombeen were invited to speak at Brightside Church in Caledonia, MI by Pastor Greg Cooper.  Pastor Cooper had been preaching on a series involving March Madness.

“It was extremely nice of Pastor Cooper to invite us to be a part of their church service.   The message was from a series they had been doing and todays message was….In it to win it.  Pastor Cooper invited us to the stage and we watched a short highlight video from our season and then each of us spoke about different topics,” said Bailey.

Allen Durham talked about the adversity each season can bring and how his faith helped him and the team through the tough times Grace faced with injuries and sickness.  He spoke of how the team was in the midst of a five game losing streak and how they decided to finish the race.  Ryan Krombeen talked about all of the extra work the team did throughout the season to help those less fortunate and how the team used their position of leadership to influence others.  The congregation was very friendly and warm to the team.  Pastor Cooper put on a “Back-to-Back-to-Back” Grace shirt and wore it from the pulpit.  It was an awesome time to come together with some new friends and celebrate the championship and hear a great message.
