The Tigers signed BJ Van Loo out of Hudsonville High School today. Van Loo, a 6’6″ forward, will help the Tigers in their effort to reload after losing seven seniors this season. “BJ is exactly the type of player that we were looking for,” said Head Coach Gary Bailey. “”He is a big man that can post up, shoot the mid-range jumper, and can step out and shoot the three. He is a great student and works hard in the classroom and on the court. We couldn’t be more happy the way our recruiting season is taking off.”
VanLoo is averaging 16.5 ppg and 10 rpg. He was an All Conference selection as a Junior at Hudsonville High School. This season he is listed as one of the top five big men in West Michigan. He was selected to the All Tournament Team at the Cornerstone University Holiday Tournament.
BJ is the son of Bill and Brenda Van Loo. He has two brothers, Nick and Regan, and two sisters, Christy and Brienna. He also has a niece, Cali.
