The Tigers bounced back from Friday night’s heartbreaking loss by showing it’s depth in a 97-82 win over NAIA University of Purdue-North Central. “We were a little tired from last night’s game”, said Coach Gary Bailey. “We finished late and had to play at 1:00pm today. Our bench really stepped today to give us some good minutes. I wasn’t happy with giving up 82 points but they shot the lights out in the second half.” Fifteen players saw action for the Tigers with eleven finding the scoring column compared to only five players scoring for PNC. Allen Durham led the way for GBC with 29 points. Freshman Zach Schutte connected on 7-7 shooting in the first half and finished with a career high 19. Cory Jamieson added 10 points. Ryan Krombeen led Grace with 11 rebounds and 6 assists.
Grace shot 62.7% for the game while hitting 50% from the arc.
The Tigers are in action again next weekend in Dunbar, WI in the NCCAA II Midwest Region Tip-off Tournament.
