All fifteen players found the scoring column as Grace won for the 9th straight time, 109-79. Allen Durham led GBC with 16 points and 10 rebounds. Dan Dame scored 11 and Cory Jamieson and Carl Getty each added 10. The Tigers have now scored over 100 points in four of the last five games. “We have been labeled, at times, as a half court team,” said Coach Gary Bailey. “We are so deep and we are really finding our up-tempo game. We can do a lot of different things on both ends of the floor now. We have seen a bunch of different defenses and gimmicks this year to stop our inside play. Our guards have learned how to take over games if teams want to try and shut us down inside. This is really the fun time of the year to see everything coming together.”
Grace had a 23 to 2 advantage in assists with Ryan Dame dishing out 4. The Tigers out-rebounded U of M Flint 46-24. Grace shot a blistering 63.2% from the floor tonight.
The final home game of the regular season (Senior Night) will be next Thursday night, against Indiana University-Northwest (NAIA II). The game will begin at 7:00pm and will include a pre-game ceremony to honor Grace’s two seniors, Dan Dame and Allen Durham.
