Tigers Lose 5th Game In A Row

The Tigers lost a 75-74 contest against Indiana University-Northwest in Gary, IN. The Tigers came out flat again as the Red Hawks forced 21 turnovers and 42 % shooting from GBC. The Tigers were down seven with two minutes on the clock. Grace fought back and cut the lead to one. With four seconds on the clock Allen Durham was fouled but missed both free throws.  On the second shot, the ball deflected out of bounds to the Tigers. Grace drew up a play and worked it to perfection but Durham missed the easy layup and ended the game. “We still have not found that killer instinct that we had earlier in the season,” said Coach Gary Bailey.  “We went through the same thing the last two seasons.  I don’t know if it is the long break or what but I am confident that we will have it fixed in time for the tournament.”

Allen Durham led Grace with 27 points and 16 rebounds. Ryan Krombeen had 13 points and 4 assists. GBC held a 42-26 rebound advantage.
