The 2009-10 basketball team was honored at their annual basketball banquet tonight.  “It was a nice quiet dinner with the team and their families,” said Coach Gary Bailey.  “We have been doing so many things to celebrate the championship that this was a nice change of pace.  We were able to sit down and spend some time with the families and players and just relax and enjoy the fellowship.”

After the meal the coaching staff talked about their appreciation for the families and fans and their support throughout the season.  Coach Bailey talked about the four seniors and their contribution to the program. (Jerry McClearen, Kyle Rothley, Paul Nelson, and Brandon Herlein)

The 17 players each received a GBC Athletics certificate.  Paul Nelson, Cory Jamieson, and Carl Getty each received the GBC Academic Excellance Award.  The coaching staff also thanked Student Assistants, Erin Goorhouse and Joe Pederson, for their outstanding contribution this season.
