Tigers Get Win At Kuyper

Traveling the fifteen minutes across town to take on the Cougars of Kuyper College didn’t seem like an away game for the Tigers.  The Tigers lit up the scoreboard for 96 points even going scoreless the last few minutes, winning the contest 96-68.  “It was another good team win,” said Coach Bailey.  “We really have been asking our team to be tournament ready and challenging them in different areas.  They really played well tonight and did some good things.  It was fun to get all seventeen guys involved again.”  The Tiger bench did get involved early and often outscoring the Cougar’s bench 49-13.

Allen Durham led four Grace players in double figures by connecting for 20 points.  Paul Nelson had 14, Ryan Dame 11, and Ryan Krombeen 10.  Brandon Herlein inched closer to the 1,000 point mark by hitting 8 to bring his career total to 953.   Grace held a late lead at 91-48 with only three minutes to play before Kuyper outscored the Tigers 20-5.  The Tigers held Kuyper to 4 of 22 behind the arc and 37% from the floor for the game.

The Tigers will host Moody Bible Institute on Saturday at 3:00pm.  Grace will honor all of the seniors that played for GBC this year including the fall sports programs.  The players will be honored between the men’s and women’s games.
