In Grayson, KY, the Tigers didn’t waste time in setting the tone in a 80-54 win over Wesley College out of Mississippi. Wesley had already recorded a win over NCAA I Mississippi Valley State but the Tigers controlled the game from start to finish. For the second straight night the Tigers played thirteen players in the first half as the Tigers outscored Wesley 35-16 at the break. The Tigers picked up right where they left off opening up a 34 point lead in the first few minutes of the second half. All seventeen of the Tigers saw good minutes tonight with thirteen showing in the scoring column.
“It was another pretty good performance by our guys”, said Coach Gary Bailey. When you play three nights in a row, it is good for some of our players to get a little rest. Our bench played a really good game today. We had a bunch of our guys get more minutes tonight than they have had in any game so far this year. We were able to rest some of our guys for tomorrow nights game.” Grace had two players with 21 & 22 minutes. The rest of the team ranged from 4-17 minutes.
Allen Durham scored 13 points and grabbed 9 rebounds. Ryan Krombeen added 12 and 6 assists. Eleven other players made up the remaining 55 points. The Tigers outrebounded the Warriors 44-20 and held a 21-12 edge in assists. Grace held a 57% – 31% advantage from the floor. Grace had the advantage in bench scoring 55-27.
