The Tigers continue to address their needs at the guard position by signing Kenny Vernon from the Wyoming Warriors. Vernon, a 5’11″ guard, averaged 18.3 ppg, 4.8 rpg, and 5.1 spg. He was an All Conference performer both his Junior and Senior years. He amassed over 1,100 points during his career. He also was a letter winner in soccer for the Warriors.
“We are extremely happy to have Kenny and his family at Grace,” said Coach Gary Bailey. “The first game I watched him play he hit 7 or 8 three’s. He jumps really well and sees the floor as well as anyone we have seen play this year. He has all of the tools to help us right away.”
Kenny is the son of Dean and Lori Vernon of Grand Rapids. He has four sisters, Amanda, Deanna, Veronica, and Leah. He has two brothers, Adam and Simon. He was coached by Tim Command.
Kenny Vernon: “I am blessed by the opportunity to play at Grace. I have met the players and coaches and they are a great group of guys. I look forward to getting started.”
