Ryan Dame will join the Tigers roster for the upcoming 2009-10 season. Ryan, the brother of current Tiger Dan Dame, transfered from Davenport University this fall. Ryan red-shirted his freshman year at Davenport because of an injury and will come to Grace with four years of eligibility. “I enjoyed my time at Davenport and I made some great friends there. I will miss my teammates there but I really wanted to play basketball with my brother and my friend Cory Jamieson. I really feel like Grace is the right fit for me and my family. My parents won’t have to be in two places at one time to watch Dan and I play.”
Ryan, a 6’7″ forward from Wayland High School was a two year All-Conference, All Area, and All County player. He averaged 12 points, 9 rebounds, and 3 blocks per game his senior year. Ryan will wear #23 for the Tigers.
“We were quite surprised when Ryan called us this year,” said Coach Gary Bailey. We talked to Ryan during his high school days but he decided to go in a different direction. I am happy for Ryan that he will be able to play with his brother and Cory.”
