A year away from basketball proved to be too much for the Allendale High School standout Mitch Luban. Luban a 6’6″ forward graduated in 2011 and decided not to pursue his basketball career but begin his pursuit of his degree and not play the game he loves. “I’m extremely excited about the opportunity to play basketball at Grace and grow not only spritually but also academically. I look forward to forging new relationships with my teammates as well.”
Luban averaged 8 points and 8 rebounds a game in the tough OK Silver Conference. He was a team captain and won the teams Leadership Award which is given out by the coaching staff. He is an Honor Roll Student and a member of the National Honor Society.
“We are really happy to welcome Mitch and his family to Grace,” said Coach Gary Bailey. Mitch works very hard on the floor and is a really good rebounder and defensive player. He has all the physical tools to be an outstanding player for us.”
Mitch played for Coach Brent Hadden at Allendale.
Mitch is the son of Dave and Gwen Luban.
