The Tigers played a very tough Kuyper College team winning 70-57. “This is not the same team we played earlier in the year,” said Coach Bailey. They were well prepared for us and played us very well. I have said all along that our region continues to get better and better. It’s encouraging to see the growth of the Midwest Region.”
Allen Durham led Grace with 23 points and 16 rebounds. Balanced scoring was again the key for the Tigers as Dan Dame had 12 points and 10 rebounds, Cory Jamieson 11 points and a team high 5 assists, and Matt Kurtz with 10 points. Greg Salmon came off the bench to grab 7 rebounds.
GBC held an advantage in rebounds 50-23 and assists 16-7. Grace shot a season low 41% from the floor but held the Cougars to 39%.
The Tigers have now won 10 straight games.
Allen Durham was honored before the game for breaking Grace’s all-time scoring record. Durham also became the first player to score 2,000 points for the men’s team.
