The Tigers traveled to Big Rapids, MI today to take on NCAA II Ferris State University and came away with an 86-80 win. Ferris State’s last lead came at the 8:33 mark of the first half and the Tigers took over from there expanding their lead to twelve at the half. The Tigers picked up steam in the second half to go ahead by as many as nineteen at the ten minute mark. The Bulldogs cut it to a single digit Grace lead at the one minute mark and to six with a long three before time expired.
Allen Durham led Grace with 25 points and 18 rebounds. Cory Jamieson scored a season high 22 points. Ryan Krombeen added 14 to go along with 9 rebounds and 4 assists. “We talked about everyone doing their job tonight and that is exactly what we received from this team”, said Coach Bailey. Every player that was on the floor or on the bench was into the game calling out information and encouraging those on the floor. This was a great win for our program. We still missed 15 free throws tonight so there is plenty of room for improvement.”
Grace gets some much deserved rest before taking on Kuyper College on January 12th. The Tigers now stand at 12-8.
