The students and families at Grace and many from the community, filled the Aldrich Center Gymnasium to help the Tigers celebrate the 2010 Men’s Basketball National Championship on Wednesday night. Mayor Jack Poll spoke to the team and crowd about the people of Wyoming and how proud they were of the team and the way they represented West Michigan. Coach Gary Bailey thanked the fans of Grace Bible for their support all season. Athletic Director Rich Renzema handed out the individual championship medals to the team as they were recognized by announcer, John Spooner. GBC President, Ken Kemper, acknowledged the team and the great support by the “Grace Nation”, a term coined by someone in Springfield, MO because of the number of fans that travel and follow this team. President Kemper also thanked the team for the way they represent Grace while traveling and playing.
