The team’s Friday morning consisted of sleeping in and going to breakfast at the latest possible minute. Most sat outside eating while a photography class stood by the pool and snapped pictures of Aaron Schutte because he once again forgot his shirt. The coaches on the other hand were golfing in the warm Florida sun. Coach Bailey had to make a quick stop at the local sporting goods store to buy more golf balls because he lost 11 out on the course! We had the rest of the day open until 3 o clock. Most of us spent our last hours in the sun sitting by the pool playing ukulele while Paul provided entertainment for everyone. Then the team went out to the BK lounge for lunch and waited for our afternoon “Champions to the Core.” President Kemper shared what was on his heart during today’s “Champions” by challenging us to develop the right type of character. Then we rode the bus to Florida Christian for our second game. We dug ourselves in a big hole but managed to chip back to being down by 6 at half. It ended up being a tough loss but we will grow from it. After the game we stuffed ourselves with pizza at CiCi’s for the last time. We are all excited to get a second chance to prove ourselves in tommorrow’s game. We feel fortunate to have another great day to play and become better players together as a team.
