On Tuesday, June 15th, Allen Durham represented the Tigers national champion basketball team by throwing out the first pitch at the West Michigan Whitecaps game.  The Whitecaps are a minor league team for the Detroit Tigers.  Durham was introduced to the crowd before the game and threw a strike to get the game started.  “It was a big honor to represent our team and coaches tonight”, said Durham.  “I was a little nervous but got the ball to the catcher with out bouncing it or making him jump.  I would have taken a lot of grief from my teammates if I would have thrown a bad pitch.”
