The Tigers’ Head Men’s Basketball Coach, Gary Bailey was honored on Wednesday, March 11, by the National Christian College Athletic Association as the 2008-2009 National Coach of the Year for Division II.  Coach Bailey has led the Tigers to a 27-8 record entering the national tournament as the #1 team in the nation.  Bailey has moved into second place on the all-time wins list for Tiger coaches, two wins behind all-time leader Scott Walstra.  “I am honored to receive this award,” said Coach Bailey, “But I want to make sure that it is shared with Coach George, Coach Bohl, and Coach Bailey, Sr.  This staff has been together all four years of my tenure as head coach and this honor is a staff achievement.”
