Caleb Cook, a 6’4″ guard from Grandville High School has signed to play with the Tigers next year. Caleb has been a varsity player the last three years and averaged 8 ppg as a senior but is most known for his defensive intensity. Usually drawing the best offensive player on the opposing team, Caleb is a lock-down defender. Although he is known for defense, Caleb opened a game this season with a breakaway 360 degree dunk.
“Caleb will be another great player for us,” said Head Coach Gary Bailey. “He possess great athleticism and loves to defend. Offensively, he attacks the basket and can really shoot it from the arc. Once he is in our system, I think he will really develope into an exciting player to watch. He certainly has all the tools already. It has been a great pleasure to meet Caleb and his parents. We are very fortunate to have them in our GBC family.”
Caleb plans to major in education at GBC and wants to use his basketball talents to reach at-risk teenagers. Caleb is the son of Eric and Jayanne Cook and he has three brothers, Jordan, Seth, and Ethan.
