This past weekend, history was being made as the Tigers won the Calvin College Tip-Off Tournament for the first time in school history.  At the same time Allen Durham was making a little personal history of his own.  The Senior forward for the Tigers from Wyoming Park High School pulled down rebound number 1,009 to become GBC’s leader in that category.  Durham still has the remainder of the year to add to that total.  “I am really proud of Allen and his accomplishments at Grace,” said Head Coach Gary Bailey.  “In the rebounding department he is relentless.  I have told many new players over the last three years that if they want to be a good rebounder, to watch Allen.  Everytime the ball comes off the rim he thinks he has to get it and doesn’t stop until it’s secured.  He never stops going after it.  I have seen him continue to tip the ball over and over to the corner or near half court until he could pull it in.”  Durham continues to move closer to the all-time scoring record and should get it within the next few games.  He currently holds the number one spot in many offensive and defensive categories.
