The Tigers made 9 of 18 three point shots on their way to an 89-74 victory Thursday night at the Aldrich Center. “This was by far our best offensive game of the season,” said Coach Oldebekking “we pushed the ball at the appropriate times and were patient in the half court and got the looks we wanted.” Grace did share the ball as they had a season high 23 assists for the game.
The Tigers also won the rebounding battle 47-33. “We had 17 offensive rebounds tonight which is a season high; we were so aggressive on the boards it was nice to see.” “The whole team crashed but I was most impressed with Mike Mokma, it seemed like he spent the whole night above the rim.” GBC was led in scoring by Tyler Wright with 24 points. Both Brendon Coe and Cody Nisonger chipped in with 14 points. The Tigers also got an inspired effort from Mike Svoboda who had 10 points and 6 rebounds in only twelve minutes of action.
The Tigers are off until after Christmas when they travel to Iowa to take on Dordt College on December 29th.
