Grand Rapids- Playing their best game to date the JV’ers from GBC were victorious over the Knights from Calvin College 71-68 in overtime. The seesaw battle never saw one team take more than a six point lead. “ I really attribute this win to two things first, we were 13-14 from the line in the second half and overtime, and we out rebounded them 42-37, without those two things we don’t win this game.” “The guys have really been such great learners, they see what we need to improve from game to game and then they go out and execute those things.”
“I am just really proud of the guys, we had some guys play big minutes tonight, and they know that they have a game tomorrow, but they left it all out there.” said Coach Oldebekking. The Tigers were led in scoring by Travis Rader with 16 points, playing through some back pain Caleb Cook checked in with 13 points and 9 rebounds. The Tigers are back in action tomorrow as they face the undefeated Chargers from Ancilla College at the Aldrich Athletic Center at 3 pm.
