Tigers Earn the Victory in a Hard Fought JV Game

The Tigers used a strong first half and some timely free throw shooting to hold off the charging Golden Eagles from Cornerstone University.  The Tigers led by as much as fifteen points in the first half before the Golden Eagles made a run to cut it to eight points at halftime.  In the second half Cornerstone cut the lead to three on two occasions but Grace held off the runs for a  75-64 victory.  The win signifies the first win in the history of the JV team.

The Tigers crashed the boards hard in the game and had a 46-37 rebounding advantage; Tyler Wright led the team with 9 rebounds from his guard position.  Brad Rosenzweig came off the bench to lead four Tigers in double digits with 17 points.  Marquis Johnson and Cody Nisonger both checked in with 14 points.  For the second straight game the Tigers have shot over 50% from the field.

The Tigers will be back in action on Monday November 15th at home against the JV squad from Hope College.  Gametime is at 7:00pm come out and support your GBC Tigers.
