Tigers Defeated by Muskegon Community College in Season Kickoff

The Tigers fought hard but couldn’t come up with the victory in the inaugural JV game at GBC losing   88-76.  The see-saw battle saw big runs from both teams, but in the end the Jayhawks from Muskegon Community College, made the last run and were able to pull out the victory.  “For our first game of the year I thought we did a lot good things” said Coach Oldebekking, “we really wanted to handle the things that we could control, and I thought we did that, our effort was great.”

“We knew going in that we were going to have trouble with their size and it did show through, we really didn’t get into a good position for rebounds.”  The Tigers were out rebounded 42-29.

The Tigers were led in scoring by Tyler Wright, who checked in with 21 points on 6-8 shooting from behind the three point line.  Brad Rosenzweig and Brendon Coe each chipped in 14 in the losing effort.
