Tigers Come Up Short Against Davenport JV

The Tigers couldn’t get going last night against the Panthers losing 61-58.  The game stayed close throughout with no team taking bigger then a five point lead.  The Tigers were up one at halftime, but couldn’t come up with a few timely baskets down the stretch.  “This was our first game away from home so it was a new experience,” said head coach David Oldebekking.  “The game will be a great learning experience for all of us and we will work on a few of the things that we didn’t do well and come back better.”

The Tigers out rebounded the Panthers 43-42, but were bogged down by 25 turnovers.  GBC was led in scoring by Brendon Coe with 19 points.  Greg Salmon hit the glass hard and led the Tigers with 12 rebounds.

The game on November 22nd at Trine has been postponed to a later date.  The Tigers will be back in action on December 6th at home against Davenport’s JV.
